I already discussed about on how to get indexed by Google. This time though you would like to know how to optimize your crawling and indexing for Google.
One good thing about this topic is that, I do not have to write about it anymore. Google Webmaster Central created a very good and useful slide presentation on how to optimize your crawling and indexing for Google.
It was shown at the slide presentation what not to do with your site so that your site will be crawled and indexed faster. Aside from what has been shown on the slide presentation, they also wrote some more recommendations to help the crawlers find your content faster.
Remove user-specific details from URLs.
Rein in infinite spaces.
Disallow actions Googlebot can’t perform.
One URL, one set of content.
