How to know your Web Statistics, Blog Traffic and Site Visitors

Wednesday, April 22, 2009 @ 11:58 pm by ProBlogit.com

I have almost covered the topics that we need to know when starting a blog. It is not finished yet. There is one more thing to do. I mentioned on my previous blog entry that nobody is reading our blogs. How did I know that nobody is reading our blogs? Well, I was just speculating yesterday but in reality there is actually a possibility to know if people are actually reading our blogs.

We need to have a website tracking tool or website monitoring tool to learn how our blogs perform in the World Wide Web. We will be able to find a lot of these Website statistics softwares all over the Internet but most of the time we need to cash out some money for these web statistics analyzers.

But there is one website statistics tool that I could recommend to you. It is very useful and it is for free, and that is Google Analytics. I have been using Google Analytics aside from WordPress Stats to track down the traffic of my websites and blogs.

Ways on Promoting a Blog

Tuesday, April 21, 2009 @ 11:48 pm by ProBlogit.com

We have our blogs but no one is reading them. That is always the problem of new bloggers. Well, it is not just enough to start a blog, and write content for a blog. We also need to promote our blogs. But before we promote our blogs, let us make sure that we have enough blog entries. If people decide to visit our blogs, we have enough articles for them to read.

There are several ways to promote a blog or a Website.

1. Search Engines

Submit your blog to the search engines. Google, Yahoo and MSN Live are the most popular search engines. The truth is even if I have no content on my websites or blogs, I always submit them to Google Search, Yahoo Search and MSN Live Search. Take note, I just do that for the search engines only.

Things to remember when Writing Content for a Blog

Monday, April 20, 2009 @ 11:38 pm by ProBlogit.com

There are a lot of things to consider when we are writing content for a blog. Other than the title, the ethics and best practices in writing, I have identified two things to remember that are important when writing content for a blog.

1. Defining our niche and remembering our niche

The question is, isn’t it that we already defined our niche before we even started problogging? Yes, but it is always advisable to remember our niche when writing content, for focus. When I am writing content for this blog, I always think about the topic of this blog. I need to remember what my blog is all about so I will not write beyond my blog topics.

Problogging on Saturdays and Sundays?

Friday, April 17, 2009 @ 11:28 pm by ProBlogit.com

I told myself and I have written it here that I would like to update this blog everyday. But I have been thinking, I just thought that Saturdays and Sundays are non-working days. We have been working Monday through Friday, and there is a need for us to relax too. We do deserve to take a break from work. I now consider problogging as my work from Monday to Friday, and in my opinion Saturdays and Sundays should be optional days for me if I would like to write on those days.

And so, from this day on, I declare my Saturdays and Sundays non-working days but if I have the time I will also try to write for this blog on those days. There are times too that we just cannot wait for Mondays to come, so I will still be once in a while blogging on Saturdays and Sundays.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Start Writing Content for your Blog

Thursday, April 16, 2009 @ 11:48 pm by ProBlogit.com

I already registered a domain name. I already have a web host to host my blog. I already have a topic that I intend to write about and share with others. So, why did I wait for three months to start writing content for this blog? Yes, I waited for three months before I started writing for this blog. In my opinion, I think I wasted those three months. If I did not wait for three months then I should already have a lot of contents on my blog. I should have more than ninety (90) blog entries already and enough to show to several affiliate networks or advertising networks.

I should have earned some money already. Maybe? Yes, I think so, I could have earned already. A cent is always a cent. A cent everyday is thirty (30) cents in thirty (30) days. A cent everyday is thirty-one (31) cents in thirty-one (31) days. Assuming that I am an affiliate of a certain pay per post advertising network. I have an opportunity to write a post worth five (5) US dollars per post. If I have written one (1) post a day for thirty (30) days, then I could have earned one hundred fifty (150) US dollars for a month already.
